About
I am Consuelo Keller, archaeologist turned digital artisan. I create 3D printed and handcrafted jewelry and objects. In 2013 I founded my label [ digimorphé ] with the aim to explore the possibilities and the aesthetics offered by creative coding and additive manufacturing to create a new generation of jewelry. Both Swiss and Italian, I currently live and work between Zurich and Milan.
My passion goes into transforming intangible constructs into tangible accessories that enhance the wearer’s uniqueness, individuality and freedom of expression. My creations are digital artifacts that combine advanced technology with traditional craftsmanship: they start with algorithms and sketches of digital models that ultimately become 3D printed rings, bracelets, pendants, earrings and objects carefully finished by hand.
The collections are made employing innovative and traditional materials. I create pieces made of high-grade polyamide and aluminum as well as jewels made of bronze, silver, steel and titanium.
Furthermore, under my own name I pursue a contemporary art jewelry practice (to know more, please visit consuelokeller.com).
Research and experimentation are important driving forces of my work. The background is provided by my diverse education spanning the humanities and design disciplines, material and digital culture. I am evolving the way jewelry has been traditionally made, experimenting with new tools, forms and textures and adding new materials to the range of possibilities. I envision a new jewelry practice exploring the potential of digital design and fabrication merged with craftsmanship.
